Keyprocessor introduces the HyperX™ long distance reader

Category: Persberichten

From iProtect™ release 7.02 onwards Keyprocessor has integrated the HyperX™ long distance reader which offers the ability to read the card at distances of up to 2 metres and thus open doors or barriers at entrances where one wishes to open the door(s) without the need to do anything.

The card technology
The HyperX ™ cards have significantly increased life span of about 5 to 7 years. This is because it is a semi passive cards, this means that the energy required for the return of card information to the reader not fed from the battery in the card. The HyperX ™ card can be combined with the Mifare 4K chip (Division / serial).

The card reader
The HyperX™ card is very robust, by this housing is the card resistant to heavy weather. The HyperX™  is therefore suitable for outdoor applications. By the integration of the iProtect™ Security Management System and the card reader, is it possible that multiple cards can be read simultaneously.

It is also possible to expand your existing iProtect™ access control system with the card reader technology. All that is required is an update to iProtect™ 7.02.

Areas of application
The HyperX™ long distance reader is applicable in various industries. In the healthcare sector as a false detection for specific patients, to opening a door automatically in a production area, goods monitoring and by automatically opening barriers through a central tag placed on a vehicle.
